AKSDO, THAU to face off in MNCA Women's T-20 final

AKSDO and THAU triumphed in their respective semifinal matches on Saturday, setting up what promises to be an electrifying final of the 3rd MNCA Womens T-20 Trophy 2024-25 .
AKSDO outclassed FORCE by 46 runs in their semifinal clash at SEDOC Ground, Dhobi Lampak, Kongba.
AKSDO won the toss and opted to bat.
Openers Daina Moirangthem (25) and Olebia Khundrakpam (9) laid a steady foundation before captain Taniya Ningthoujam took charge with a composed, unbeaten 66 off 61 balls.
Her innings, studded with eight boundaries, anchored the innings, while Langlen Ningthoujam's brisk 21* off 18 provided late momentum, propelling AKSDO to a competitive 147/2 .
FORCE faced an uphill battle in their chase, with only Barkatun Khanam (44 off 38) offering significant resistance.
AKSDO's bowlers maintained relentless pressure, with Laishram Linthoi Chanu (2/7 in 3 overs) and Thokchom.
Langlen Chanu (2/12 in 3 overs) striking at crucial intervals.
Tight spells from Bijiya Khundrakpam (2/19) and economical bowling from Rabina Khundrakpam (3-1-6-0) stifled FORCE's reply, restricting them to 101/7 and sealing a 46-run win.
THAU overcame an early stumble to defend their modest total, defeating PTRC by 38 runs in the other semifinal action at THAU Ground, Thangmeiband.
THAU Ground recovered from a shaky start to post 126/6 after being put in to bat by PTRC (W) .
Captain Kalpana Devi Keisham (44 off 53) held the innings together with a patient knock, while Leithol Changammayum (32 off 36) and Konjengbam Nonibala Devi's explosive 22 off 15" ensured a respectable total.
PTRC's chase never gained momentum, as Niruta Thoudam (2/11 in 4 overs) and Hijam Malemkhombi (2/13 in 4 overs) ripped through the top order.
Despite a spirited 20 from Linthoi RK, PTRC collapsed to 88/8, falling 38 runs short.
THAU's fielding was sharp, with two run-outs and a stumping by wicketkeeper-captain Keisham adding to PTRC's woes.
The final will take place at THAU Ground on Sunday, June 29, 2025 .
