PTRC women dominate AKSDO in one-sided ODI victory

Imphal, February 27 2025: In a commanding display of cricket, PTRC cruised to an 8-wicket victory over AKSDO ( W) in the 4th MNCA Senior Women's ODI Trophy league match at THAU Ground on Thursday.

Chasing a modest target of 85, PTRC sealed the win in just 9.3 overs, showcasing explosive batting and disciplined bowling.

Opting to bat first, AKSDO's innings unravelled quickly.

Captain Langlen Ningthoujam fell for 1, triggering a collapse exacerbated by 37 extras (30 wides, 5 no-balls) .

Daina Moirangthem (20 off 51) and Rabina Khundrakpam (19 off 41) offered brief resistance, but PTRC's bowlers stifled the flow.

RK Linthoingambi Devi (2/9) and Chingkheileima Chanu Mangsatabam (2/13) starred with miserly spells, while Laitonjam Linthoi Devi (1/9) kept the pressure on.

PTRC's reply was spearheaded by Loidangton Thokchom, who smashed 35 off 23 balls (7 fours).

Despite losing captain Ranjita Koijam (10 off 7) early, Loidangton T and Chingkheileima Chanu Mangsatabam (15* off 18) accelerated the innings.

RK Linthoingambi (15* off 10) sealed the chase with three boundaries, finishing at a staggering run rate of 9.26 .
