10th Manipur State Football League 2015 : FC Zalen crush TRUGPU; USA trounce YPHU

Imphal, October 25 2015 : FC Zalen Sadar Hills crushed TRUGPU Nambol 4-0 in the 10th Manipur State Football League 2015 match played at Mapal Kangjeibung on Sunday.

The Sadar Hills club's account was opened by Patrick Kamei who netted a goal in the 8th minute of the match.

Right from the beginning of the match, FC Zalen's intention seemed to be focused on winning the match.

However, formidable rival TRUGPU could not be easily subdued in the first half.

Palmei Rambo of TRUGPU scored the equalizer for his team in the 32nd minute of the match.

The first half ended in 1-1 draw.

In the second half, the match picked up gradually picked up pace and speed.

FC Zalen's Seikhohao Tuboi made no mistake in hitting the nets in the 55th minute of the match.

This goal further boosted the morale of the team.

Encouraged by the one goal lead, FZ Zalen players continued to amount pressure on the rival team.

TRUGPU players too tried their best to equalize but failed to make best use of the opportunities.

In the 70th minute of the match, David Ngaite scored another goal for FC Zalen taking the total to three goals.

In the 90th minute David Ngaite repeated the same feat and slammed another goal taking the total to four goals for his team.

The match ended 4-1 in favour of FC Zalen.

In the second match, USA Khurai thrashed YPHU Lalambung Makhong 2-1.YPHU opened the account with a superb goal by Y Kamando in the 33rd minute.

The margin was equalized by Y Jetlee of USA in the 35th minute.

Ch Risk scored one more for USA and the match ended 2-1 in USA's favour.
