Manipur humble Meghalaya in NE cricket tourney

Imphal, September 23 2024:
Riding on Ngariyanbam Johnson Singh's 68-not out and Rajkumar Rex Singh's five-wicket haul, Manipur humbled Meghalaya by 189 runs in the league match of the 2nd NECDC Senior Men's Interstate Friendship Tournament 2024 at Sovima Cricket Ground, Chumukedima, Nagaland on Monday.
Batting first, Manipur put up 245/5 in 50 overs with half centuries from Ng Johnson, Yumnam Karnajit (51 runs) and captain Langlonyamba Singh M (59) .
For Meghalaya, Swarajeet Das claimed two Manipur wickets, as Dippu Sangma, Anish Charak and Chaman Pushpa as scalped one each.
Chasing the target set, Meghalaya were bowled out for only 65 runs in 20.4 overs as Manipur's RK Rex along with Jotin Pheiroijam, Lamabam Ajay Singh and Mohd Ahsanul Kabir took wickets at regular intervals.
