CFA pull out from 2nd PL; women's league postponed

Imphal, June 23 2025: All Manipur Football Association (AMFA) has informed that its executive council meeting held on Monday examined the application submitted by Classic Football Academy (CFA) for withdrawal from the ongoing 2nd Premier League 2025-26 sponsored by Sheikh Babumacha Memorial Trust.

According to AMFA general secretary L Jyotirmoy Roy, the council meeting discussed and endorsed the CFA submission to pull out from the League on the ground that most of the players' contract had lapsed on May 31 and have signed up for other clubs.

The meeting also decided to award three points each to teams scheduled to play CFA .

Meanwhile, further matches of the 15th AMFA Senior Women's Football League 2024-25 have been postponed due to inclement weather condition.

Revised fixture of the League will be issued in due course of time, said AMFA in a release.
