THAU crush FORCE by 8 wickets in MNCA Sr Womens One Day Trophy

Imphal, May 18 2024: THAU made short work of FORCE in an 8-wicket win in the 3rd MNCA Senior Womens One Day Trophy at THAU Ground, Thangmeiband on Saturday.

A lethal bowling display produced by Bunty Devi Khoibam and Monica Devi Ningthoujam helped THAU bundle out FORCE for 51 in 25 overs.

Bunty bowled well to claim 4 scalps while Monica impressed with 3 wickets, with Meri Keithellakpam adding one.

THAU then needed 8.3 overs to finish off the task as Kalpana Devi Keisham scored 29, Ronibala Chanu Thokchom got 9, and Niruta Thoudam was unbeaten on 6 in their victory.

During the chase, both Kalpana and Ronibala fell prey to Khadija's bowling.

Meanwhile, rain prompted the match between YPHUC and PTCC to be abandoned.

YPHUC had reached 14/1 in 8.2 overs when the game was called off.
