Sports meet enthuses crowd on day-3 of ZTKL General Conference

Ukhrul, April 17 2015 : The mammoth crowd at Seikhor Village Ground on Friday witnessed a series of exciting football and volleyball matches on day third of the ongoing ZTKL General Conference cum Sports Meet being hosted by the village located about 9 km from Ukhrul Town.

In the first quarter final football match played between Seikhor Village (A) and Sirarakhong Village , Sirarakhong village scored 1 goal to beat the host team.

In the second match, Phalee village left behind Teinem village with 2-0 goals, while Seikhor Village (B) beat Ringui village with 1-0 score.

Ngainu team came up with 2 score to knock out Pharung team in the last match.

Meanwhile, host team Seikhor emerged winner in the women's quarter final volley ball match pitted against Tashar.

Ringui Ramhon, Lamlang and Ngaingu teams defeated Talui, Ringui Ramthar and Teinem teams respectively in the subsequent matches.

During the men's volley ball quarter final matches Talui, Teinem, Lamlang and Seikhor (B) managed to secure their places for the semi final.

The five-day event is being participated by 13 units of ZTKL covering 13 contiguous villages of the Western Ukhrul.
