Medallist Sakibur felicitated by KMPUC

Imphal, November 13 2024: Sakibur Yumkhaibam, who recently won a silver medal at the 15th World Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Championship 2024 in the Maldives, was honoured by the Kshetrigao Meitei Pangal United Clubs (KMPUC) in a ceremony held at the ABA playground on Wednesday.

During the event, KMPUC general secretary Md Kabir Ahmed emphasised the club's dedication to advancing sports in the Kshetrigao constituency.

He also expressed concern over issues of substance abuse among young people, noting that it diverts valuable time and potential.

He encouraged the youth to steer clear of harmful influences and instead dedicate themselves to sports, aspiring to bring laurels to the state.

In congratulating Sakibur on his silver medal, Ahmed extended his best wishes for the athlete s future endeavours.

During his speech, Sakibur thanked the people of his birth place Kshetrigao for the recognition and reaffirmed his commitment to bringing more accolades to Manipur.

The event was attended by community elders, students, KMPUC executives, and representatives from various clubs in the area.
