Imphal, March 13 2015 : LA Mayai Lambi; SD Imphal emerged victorious in the group matches of the 5th N Gopendro Singh Memorial Veteran Volleyball Tournament being played at TGH Volleyball Ground Heigrujam on Friday.

In the first match, LA Mayai Lambi defeated KPL Imphal West in four set.

The first set was a close affair with LA overcame KPL in 25-22.The set was level when KPL defeated LA by 25-16 .

After that the next two sets were comfortably won by LA with a score of 25-18 and 25-15 .

SD Imphal overpowered VTN Nambol in straight sets with score line reading 25-19; 25-14 and 25-21 .

The veteran volleyball tournament is being organised by Teenage Group Heigrujam.
