SHADOW, PTCC have it easy in 1st MNCA Women's U-23 One Day Trophy

SHADOW and PTCC registered commanding wins in Saturday's fixtures of the 1st MNCA Women's U-23 One Day Trophy 2024-252.SHADOW handed out a 126 thrashing to PSC in a one-side contest at THAU Ground, Thangmeiband.
SHADOW posted a formidable 217/2 in 25 overs after electing to bat.
The innings was built around a magnificent 107 (84 balls, 15 fours) from Kebriya Devi Sapam, who dominated the bowling from the outset.
She received excellent support from Victoria Thokchom, who remained unbeaten on a fluent 53 (45 balls).
PSC's bowlers toiled without reward, particularly Surangini Kangabam, whose 5 overs leaked 78 runs.
In response, PSC never recovered from early setbacks, crumbling to 91 all out in just 18.3 overs.
SHADOW's pair of Priyanshee Hanglem (4/13) and Victoria Thokchom (3/17) wreaked havoc, reducing PSC to 3/3 inside three overs.
Only Surangini Kangabam (28) and captain Marvi Maibam (19*) offered any resistance as SHADOW sealed a crushing 126-run victory.
Meanwhile, PTCC outclassed YPHUC by 50 runs at SEDOC Ground, Kongba Dhobi Lampak.
PTCC opted to bat after winning the toss but were restricted to a modest 99/9 in 25 overs.
Shrili Irom anchored the innings with an unbeaten 35 off 78 balls, while YPHUC's bowlers, led by Suchitra Devi Waikhom (2/14) and Tongbram Nilky Devi (2/15), kept the scoring in check.
The chase proved disastrous for YPHUC (W) as they capitulated for a paltry 49, handing PTCC a comprehensive 50-run victory.
PTCC's bowling unit produced a clinical performance, with captain Sanaloo Devi Takhelmayum (3/0 in 3 overs) and Angoubi Devi Khundrakpam (3/20) running through the batting order.
The result was never in doubt after YPHUC lost half their side with just 48 runs on the board.
