YWC, TCMDC register resounding wins in MNCA Men's U-23 Trophy

Imphal, March 09 2025: The 2nd MNCA Men's U-23 Haobam Biramangol Singh Memorial Trophy 2024-25 witnessed two dominant performances in its league stage on Sunday, with YWC and TCMDC securing emphatic victories.

TCMDC pummelled RULE by 10 wickets in a one-side contest at Khudelband Lampak.

After winning the toss and opting to held, TCMDC bundled out RULE for 133 in 37 overs, courtesy of a fiery spell by Kongbraliatnam Kalyan Sharma ( 4/13 in 8 overs) .

RULE's captain Jay Singh fought valiantly with a 64-run knock, but the team collapsed under disciplined bowling.

In reply, TCMPC's openers Kongbraliatnam Kalyan Sharma (84* off 71 balls) and Waikhom Mathoi Meitei (38* off 46 ball's) chased down the target in just 19.2 overs with out losing a wicket.

Sharma's all-round heroics (84 runs and 4 wickets) earned him the player of the match accolade.

In the other match, YWC enjoyed an easy day with a 150-run thrashing of SCCC at Public Ground, Khangabok Cherapur.

YWC posted a formidable 241/10 in 37.1 overs after opting to bat.

Opener Seram Robinson starred with a blistering 91 off 91 balls (12 fours, 2 sixes), while Soubam Robinson Singh (5/14 in 6 overs) later dismantled SCCC's batting lineup.

SCCC collapsed for 91 in 25.5 overs, with only captain Ulenyai Khwairakpam (22) offering brief resistance.

YWC's bowlers dominated, with Soubam Robinson Singh's five-wicket haul and Yumnam Chingkhei Ngamba (2/3) sealing the match.

Robinson's all-round brilliance (91 runs and 5 wickets) made him the standout performer.
