AKSDO crush SHADOW by 81 runs in MNCA Senior Women's One Day Trophy

Imphal, March 08 2025: AKSDO thumped SHADOW by 81 runs in Saturday's action of the 4th MNCA Senior Womens One Day Trophy 2024-25 at SE-DOC Ground, Kongba Dhobi Lampak.

Opting to field first after winning the toss, SHADOW struggled to contain AKSDO's batters, who posted a competitive 176/7 in 35 overs before skittling their opponents for just 95 in 26.3 overs.

Opener Daina Moirangthem anchored the innings with a patient 61 off 114 balls, striking six boundaries.

Captain Taniya Ningthoujam provided brisk support, scoring 35 off 38 deliveries, while Kebriya Devi Sapam (34 off 51) bolstered the middle order.

SHADOW's Victoria Thokchom shone with the ball, claiming 3/21, but her efforts were undermined by 42 wides conceded by her side's wayward bowling.

Chasing 177, SHADOW faltered early, losing wickets at regular intervals.

Kebriya Devi Sapam top-scored with 34, but AKSDO's bowlers dominated - Thokchom Langlen Chanu (2/16), Lucyrani Khundrakpam (2/6), and Daina Moirangthem (2/18) shared six wickets.

SHADOW's innings folded for 95, with extras (26) ironically being their second-highest contributor.
