National Thang-Ta coaches' training concludes

Imphal, May 30 2025:
The closing ceremony of the National Thang-Ta Technical Officials and Coaches' Training 2025, in conjunction with the 92nd Thang-Ta Revival Day, was held on Friday at Yumnam Huidrom, Imphal West.
The event was graced by several distinguished guests: Abdul Kadir, social worker and advisor to the Karimganj District Thang-Ta Association, served as the chief guest; Dr Huidrom Premkumar Singh, president of the World Thang-Ta Federation, presided over the function; Moirangthem Rajen Meetei, State Kala Akademi awardee and principal of PAHULASI, Mayaikoibi; Thounaojam Priyokumar Singh, former secretary of the Thang-Ta Federation of India; and Heikhrujam Cha Babu, secretary of the Huyel Langlon Thang-Ta Association, Manipur, attended as guests of honour.
During the ceremony, officials and coaches from the Huyel Langlon Thang-Ta Association, along with participants from other states, paid tribute to the departed souls through the traditional Thang-Ta salutation and floral offerings.
Dr Huidrom Premkumar Singh, in his dual capacity as president of both the World Thang-Ta Federation and the Huyel Langlon Thang-Ta Association, addressed the gathering and delivered the keynote remarks.
