11th edition of Maj Bob Khathing Tournament concludes

Assam Rifles conducted a solemn wreath-laying ceremony at the memorial statue of the Late Major Bob Khathing on Thursday in Ukhrul district, in conjunction with the closing ceremony of his 113th Birth Anniversary Tournament.
The ceremony was held with full military honours, with wreaths laid by the Deputy Inspector General, IGAR (South); Deputy Inspector General, Headquarters 10 Sector Assam Rifles; John Khathing, son of Late Major Bob Khathing; and Ashish Das, Deputy Commissioner of Ukhrul.
The 11th edition of the Late Major Bob Khathing Tournament concluded with the men's football final, marking the culmination of a weeklong sporting event organised in collaboration with the Ukhrul District Sports Association (UDSA) from February 20, 2025 .
The final match featured a highly competitive encounter between HPFA and Semka FC, with both teams demonstrating exceptional skill, determination, and strategic play.
Ihe match remained fiercely contested throughout, with each move met by swift counterplay, creating an electrify ing atmosphere.
Ultimately, HF'FA emerged victorious, securing the championship title of the 11th Bob Khathing Football Tournament.
In addition, Eagle Club won the volleyball final, while HOPE FC clinched the title in the Baby League Tournament.
The closing ceremony witnessed the participation of youth, women, students, teachers, and members of the local community, according to a PRO IGAR
