State duo bags gold in men's physique

Imphal, September 23 2024: Birbashil Yanglem and Doublee Wangkhem bagged gold medals in Open Category Men's Physique and National Classic Physique (Novice) category, respectively in the India Natural Body Building Championship 2024 organised by International Natural Bodybuilding Association (INBA), India at Rabindra Bhavan, Kolkata on September 21 .

Birbashil also clinched the Overall Champion as well as Elite Pro Athlete title awarded by Professional Natural Body Building Association in recognition of his dedication and hard work.

Birbashil is the son of Chanambam Sumita and (late) Brizen Yanglem of Singjamei Chingamakha.

The championship was participated by seven players of Manipur.

Meanwhile, Doublee Wangkhem, who also won a silver medal in Classic Physique Overall, was accorded a grand reception on his arrival at Imphal Airport, a release by Cachar Road Athletic Union (CRAU) said.

The release informed that felicitation programme was organised for Doublee, son of W Okendro alias Khelemba Singh and Shyama Devi of Sagolband Khamnam Leirak, by the club and locals for his achievement.
