CSDSA Meet: Tampi FC, Chamdil Khullen VT clinch football titles

Imphal, January 23 2025: Tampi FC and Chamdil Khullen VT emerged as champions in football at the 44th CSDSA Sports Meet 2025, following their triumphs in their respective final matches at Chakpikarong playground, Chandel, on Thursday.

Tampi FC won the men's football title with a 2-1 win over LYCC.

After a tightly contested first half, Tampi FC broke the deadlock in the 40+1 minute through Bening.

LYCC responded in the 44th minute, with Thalpin-gam scoring the equaliser.

The match was decided in the final moments, as Phowltha netted the decisive goal in the 80+2 minute, clinching the win for Tampi FC.

In the veteran's final, Chamdil Khullen VT overcame a stiff challenge from Chakpikarong VT to claim a 2-1 win.

Jumas gave Chamdil Khullen a 1-0 lead in the 14th minute, only for Bereh to equalise for Chakpikarong in the 18th minute, before Nilson converted in the 78th minute to ensure Chamdil Khullen emerged the victors.

Awards for individual performance in the men's football event were presented to Ht Marsingam of LYCC (best goalkeeper), Hb Aimhring of Tampi FC (best defender), Rd Thungni of KKN (top scorer) and Hl Bening of Tampi FC (best player) .

Among the winners of the veteran prizes included Bd Belief of Chakpikarong VT (best player), Ht Thaniwar of Chamdil Khullen VT (best goalkeeper), Lh Calvin of Chamdil Khullen VT (top scorer) and Ws Ngamnahring (best defender) .
