YVA, YAISA, PASWAS victorious in Paona football tournament

Imphal, August 22 2024: YVA, YAISA and PASWAS all won their matches by an identical 2-1 margin in the 3rd Paona Memorial 9-a-side Football Tournament 2024 at EEO Ground, Lamding on Thursday.

Birla starred in YVA's 2-1 win over LMT FC.

He scored the opener in the 15th minute but LMT FC responded through Rohit, who netted the equaliser in the 26th minute, before Birla regained YVA's lead in the 46th minute and eventually helped his side seal the victory.

YAISA rode on Raju's double to beat Charan FC 2-1.Raju opened the scoring in the 3rd minute but Diya's 18th-minute strike drew level for Charan FC.

Raju was at it again in the 25th minute, ultimately guiding YAISA to win.

PSWAS, meanwhile, defeated Moreh FC 2-1 courtesy of Samir (24) and Zanap (34).Kuper (39) was the lone scorer for the losing side.
