Kelvina strikes two gold as State Archery Championships 2024 concludes

KMAC's T Kelvina won two gold medals as seven individual and two team matches wrapped up the 1st U-10, U-13 & U-15 (boys & girls) State Archery Championships 2024 at SAI Archery Ground, Takyel, here on Saturday.
T Kelvina claimed her yellow metal in the U-13 girls' Indian round and U-15 Indian round events.
She beat her closest challenger and teammate M Lanchenbi (342 pts) in the U-13 Indian round contest, gaining 348 points to clinch the gold medal.
K Kebi (FAC) finished third with 341 points.
Kelvina also won the U-15 girls' Indian round event, surpassing Y Langlenthoibi (second) and E Anju (third).
On the other hand, SAIRC's Laxman Gurung scored 643 points to seal the gold medal in the U-15 girls' 40+40m recurve event as CWF's A Sonia Devi finished behind with 629 points, followed by CWF's Ph Jelly Devi, who gained 614 points.
In the boys' 40+40m recurve event, BAA's Paikhomba secured the top podium honour with a score of 695 while SAIRC's Bikram Moirangthem got 694 points to bag the silver medal and KMAC's Clinton Elangbam settled for the bronze with 657 points.
The compound event saw BAA's S Stelina (663 pts) win the girls' 40+40 contest, with CWF's M Thaja (634) securing the silver and AAA's Tanita Konsam bagging the bronze.
SAC's Ch Malem Nganba (684) was the top finisher in the boys' 40+40 event.
AAFC's Langamba Mutum (679) earned the silver medal and CWF's S Manithoiba (677) bagged the bronze.
UYSC's H Rupachandra captured the gold medal in the U-15 boys' Indian round event, with KMAC's Y Jackson claiming the silver and AAC's H Sachdev taking the bronze.
In the team competition, LMLCC's trio of E Anju, E Silky and Y Langlenthoibi accumulated 1938 points to win the girls' Indian round event, while the YAC quartet of Ngamba Ch, A Hilary, E Lanchenba and K Hanson garnered 1798 points to walk away with boys' Indian round gold medal.
