State boys & girls shine with five medals at 68th National School Games

Imphal, January 19 2025: State boys and girls clinched five medals, including two gold, on the second day of the 68th National School Games in Ranchi, Jharkhand.

Yumnam Sushil and Narengbam Maxson delivered standout performances in individual events, winning a gold medal each.

Sushil emerged as the fastest in the U-17 boys' 500m individual time trial, while Maxson triumphed in the U-14 boys' 500m individual time trial.

In addition, Chungkham Mangal Mission claimed a silver medal in the U-14 boys' 500m individual time trial event, while the quartet of Y Sushil, Belchrish khoirom, L Lorish and H Lamjingba took silver in the U-17 boys' 1000m team sprint event.

The state team also added a bronze medal to their tally courtesy of Usham Sandhya, Saikhom Florence, Thoudam Abenao and KH Linthoinganbi after finishing third in the U-17 girls' 1000m team sprint.
