6th A-Side Football Tourney: DFA, Poumingtourong, Kakhulong win

Imphal, December 16 2013: DFA Sawombung severely crushed JU Superstar by 8-0 goals in a match of the ongoing 1st Palmeipui Kamaopi Memorial Zeliangrong 6 A-Side Football Tournament 2013 played at Sawombung Sairem Play Ground in Imphal East today.

The tournament is being organized by Sawombung Sairem Youth Club under the sponsorship of Palmei Angousana Kabui, president, SSYC.

Meijilong of DFA claimed a hat trick by scoring three goals in the 10th, 22nd and 39th minute of the match.

Team mate Boto scored two goals in the 23rd and the 40th minute.

In the 28th minute, team mate Agassi added another goal.

Athulung came up with another goal in the 38th minute and Baggio also contributed one goal in the 40th minute of the match.

In the second ground, Namdulong and Namguilong clashed.

However, the match ended in a draw scoring with each team scoring 3 goals.

First goal of the match was scored by Thaingampou of Namdulong in the 3rd minute.

Minutes later, team mates William and Daniel added one goal each in the 12th and 30th minute of the match.

Sanjoy of Namguilong equalized the score by kicking a goal in the 33rd minute.

Later, team mates Philimon and Disingam added 2 goals in the 34th and 37th minute of the match respectively.

In the third ground, Poumingtourong defeated Heikrujam by 4-2 goals.

.GLenin turned out to be the second player who claimed a hat trick for his team by contributing three goals in the 20th, 22nd and 30th minute of the match.

Team mate L.Jiten added one more winning goal in the 26th minute.

Despite losing the match to Poumingtourang, K.Ajit and Sushil Golmei of team Heikrujam enthusiastically tried to equalize the score by fetching one goal each in the 7th and 40th minute of the match.

However, all their efforts came to an end when final whistle of the match blew.

In another match, Khoupum lost to Kakhulong by 7-0 goals.

As done by Meijilong and Lenin of DFA and Poumingtourang teams, Langjangmei of Kakhulong team claimed the 3rd hat trick of the tournament today by scoring 3 goals in the 7th, 29th and 36th minute of the match.

Team mate Agangpu added 2 goals in the 11th and 25th minute.

Gandhi came up with another 1 goal in the 26th minute.

Last goal of the match was scored by Gaisingam in the 40th minute.
