H Ashirjit Luwang elected IEDRBA president

Imphal, December 15 2025: The first general body meeting of the Imphal East District Roll Ball Association (IEDRBA) held on December 13 at 9.30 am at the RO Tingong Water Plant, Top Yaralpat, Imphal East District has officially approved the formation of the IEDRBA.

The meeting was attended by 32 sports lovers, supporters and sympathisers of roll ball, special invitees from different areas of the district and representatives of the Manipur Roll Ball Association (MRBA), said IEDRBA in a press release issued in this regard.

Social activist Haorungbam Ashirjit Luwang (Boicha), Seram Raghumani Singh, Longjam Ibochou Singh and Secretary of MRBA, Dr Laiphrakpam Kumar Singh presided the meeting and unanimously elected H Ashirjit Luwang as president of IEDRBA, S Saratchandra Sharma as vice president, Dr Th Bimol Singh as secretary, Laishram Meghachandra Singh as joint Secretary and K Sarat Sharma as treasurer, it said.

Brozendra Ningomba, Usham Nilachandra, Keisham Yaiphaba and Seram Rishikanta Singh were elected as the executive members, it said.

Addressing the gathering, newly elected president of IEDRBA, H Ashirjit Luwang (Boicha) announced that he would donate land from his paddy field located at Yaral Chingol for the development of a playfield (Skating Rink) for the roll ball game.

The gathering praised Boicha for his generous announcement, it said.

The meeting also resolved to assign the newly elected office-bearers and executive members to go ahead with all necessary formalities to have the IEDRBA registered with the Registrar of the Cooperative Societies, Government of Manipur, Imphal, it added.
