ESU, RCA, TRAU, PCC script victories in 5th MNCA U-16 Boys' Trophy

ESU, RCA, TRAU and PCC notched up victories in Thursday's league matches of the 5th MNCA U-16 Boys Trophy.
ESU romped to an 8-wicket win over SSC at Moijing Public Ground, Thoubal.
Choosing to field first, ESU's bowlers dismissed SSC for a modest 87 runs in just 19.1 overs.
Hanjabam Naoba Sharma led the charge with a remarkable four-wicket haul, supported by Soibam Venus Singh with three wickets, while Akoijam Sangba and Thokchom Simesh contributed two and one wicket, respectively.
In reply, ESU chased down the target comfortably, reaching 89 in 13.2 overs for the loss of only two wickets.
Hanjabam Donba Sharma anchored the innings with an unbeaten 51, while Soibam Sayonba Singh and Sandham Abhinash added 8 and 6 not out, respectively, sealing a comprehensive victory for ESU.
RCA outplayed SHADOW by 5 wickets at Khudeiband Lampak, Taothong (Lamshang).
SHADOW, batting first, managed only 85 runs in 26.3 overs, as RCA's bowlers put on a disciplined display.
Zuned spearheaded the attack with four wickets, while Nawaz Sharif took three, with Md Irfan and Md Safwan Ahamed each claiming a wicket.
RCA then comfortably completed chase in 20.3 overs, led by Md Anush's steady 30 and Md Safwan Ahamed's 17 not out.
Md Samir Khan (8), Heibokmayum Albaz Hussain (5), and Zuned (5) also contributed to the chase, while SHADOW'S Sagatpam Lanchenba picked up three wickets in an otherwise one-sided affair.
In another fixture, TRAU secured a 4-wicket victory over AKSDO at Lairenjam Public Ground.
Batting first, AKSDO posted a total of 175/8, with Saikhom Lanchenba Meitei standing out with a resilient 89.TRAU's bowling attack, however, contained the damage, with Preethson Arubam and Ringku Moirangthem each taking three wickets and Mutum Swabhiman adding two.
TRAU's batsmen then stepped up, achieving the target in 34.2 overs.
Ishorchandra Loitongbam contributed 34, Huiningshumbam Luching added 30, and Mutum Swabhiman scored 22.Further contributions from Potsangbam Jeet (19), Preethson Arubam (13 not out), and Tyrus Chabungbam (13) ensured a successful pursuit.
At Cherapur (Thoubal), PCC triumphed over MPA by 39 runs.
PCC Opting to bat first, PCC posted a formidable 194/3 in 32 overs, driven by an outstanding unbeaten 94 from Maverick Wakambam.
Lucky Thokchom (32), Pebam Yoimayai (28), and Rahis Khan (26 not out) made valuable contributions to the total.
In the bowling department, Maverick Wakambam excelled once again, taking five wickets as PCC restricted MPA to 155/9 in 32 overs.
Lucky Thokchom and Rojer Laishram each chipped in with a wicket, securing PCC's solid win.
