Imphal, February 13 2025: Sainik School Imphal Old Boys' Football Club eked out a 10 win over AFC, while Rahee UC and YPHU shared the spoils in Thursday's fixtures of the 17th Manipur State League 2024-25 at Artificial Turf Ground, Lamlong Thongkhong.

Sainik School Imphal Old Boys' FC capitalised on an early breakthrough, with Subhas Lourembam S converting a penalty in the 33rd minute - a goal that ultimately decided the match.

Despite AFC's persistent attempts to break through, Sainik School Imphal Old Boys' FC remained resolute in defence, successfully fending off all attacking threats to secure the narrow win.

The day's other fixture saw Rahee UC and YPHU battle to a 1-1 draw in a game that came to life in the second half.

Following a tense and goalless opening period, YPHU found the breakthrough in the 67th minute when Heikham Abungo Singh capitalised on an opportunity to fire his side into the lead.

However, Rahee UC responded with relentless pressure, eventually earning a penalty in the 83rd minute.

Konthoujam Bharat Singh held his nerve from the spot, calmly converting to restore parity and ensure his team walked away with a hard-earned point.
