Imphal gears up for Durand Cup with grand trophy road show

Imphal, July 09 2025: The Imphal Chapter of the 134th Durand Cup will commence with a grand Trophy Tour (road show) on Thursday (July 10), beginning at 10:30 am from Sendra, Loktak Lake.

The event will be flagged off in the presence of Olympic medallist and Indian weight-lifter Saikhom Mirabai Chanu alongside senior Army officers.

The tour will traverse key routes across Imphal before culminating at the City Convention Centre.

A formal Trophy Showcasing Ceremony will follow the procession, to be graced by Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla, and chief secretary Prashant Kumar Singh.

The 134th Durand Cup is scheduled from July 23 to August 23, 2025 .

President Droupadi Murmu officially flagged off the tournament trophies at Rashtrapati Bhavan on July 4 .

Imphal is set to host Group F fixtures, featuring TRAU FC, NEROCA FC, Indian Navy FT, and Real Kashmir FC.

The matches will be held at Khuman Lampak Main Stadium on July 30, August 1, 4, 7, 10, and 12 - all Idcking off at 4:00 pm .
