MNCA Women's U-15: SHADOW, PTRC seal dominant victories

Imphal, February 09 2025:
SHADOW and PTRC both triumphed with relative ease in Sunday's league round matches of the 2nd MNCA Womens U-15 One Day Trophy 2024-25 .
SHADOW overpowered YPHUC by 127 runs at THAU Ground, Thangmeiband.
Put in to bat, SHADOW posted a competitive total of 209/8, spearheaded by Moirangthem Nirupama's unbeaten 63 .
Valuable contributions came from Smita Kangabam (24), Viviene Laishram (17), and Chandam Priyadasni (14).For YPHUC, Mutum Divika Chanu led the bowling attack with three wickets, while Suchitra Waikhom claimed two.
Defending their total, SHADOW delivered a disciplined bowling performance, restricting YPHUC to just 82/9.Sagatpam Henthoibi was the standout bowler with three wickets, supported by Victoria Thokchom (2), while Moirangthem Bebenao, Chandam Priyadasni, and Hanglem Malemnganbi took one wicket each, securing a commanding victory.
In another match at PCC Ground, Mayaikoibi, PTRC registered a dominant 106-run victory over Al-Ameen.
Opting to bat first, PTRC set an imposing target of 299, driven by half-centuries from Laitonjam Linthoi (56) and Laitonjam Benita (51), with additional contributions from Laitonjam Silky (21) and Laitonjam Purnima (16).Linthoi Khulem was the standout bowler for Al-Ameen, claiming four wickets.
In response, Al-Ameen struggled under the pressure of the massive chase, managing 198/8 in their 30 overs.
Despite resilient efforts from Najiya Begum (46) and Linthoi Khulem (34*), they fell well short of the target.
PTRC's bowling attack was led by Laitonjam Benita and Laishram Bigyapati, who took three wickets each, while Laitonjam Linthoi and Laitonjam Purnima chipped in with one apiece to seal
an emphatic win.
