Imphal, November 08, 2008: AS PER restriction imposed by the state government, The Manipur Chess Association (MCA) resolved not to conduct any tournament or championship till the restriction is drawn off, stated a release by MCA.

Earlier, All India Chess Federation have intimated the government of Manipur that the federation had recognised RK Sanajaoba as the secretary of Manipur Chess Association.

But the state government has been imposing restriction over MCA accusing RK Sanajaoba that he allegedly purported the charge of Secretary of MCA.

In the meantime, it is necessary for all those aspiring players who participate in national and international championship needed to participate through the Association, further added.
