Imphal, November 03 2008: THE PARALYMPIC Committee of Manipur is organising the 1st State Games for Physically Challenged from December 2 to 3 .

The committee is organising the state games in connection with the observation of the World Disabled Day which falls on December 3 .

Its main objective in organising the games is to impress upon the physically challenged persons and their families that handicapped does not necessarily means excommunication or exploitation and its is possible to overcome the stgigma and lead a full and sporting life.

Disabled players will compete in 15 different events viz Athletic, Archery, Badminton, Basketball, Cycling, Equastrian, Fencing, Football, Judo, Shooting, Swimming, Table Tennis, Tennis, Volleyball, Weight Lifting and Rugby.

All willing disabled players are informed to contact and collect detail information of the competition and category from the general secretary, PCM or mobile number 9863275892 and 9856474345, stated a release by general secretary, PCM, Moirangthem Inao Singh .
