Wins for CYCLONE, AKSDO, MODEL in 3rd MNCA Men's U-19 Trophy

CYCLONE, AKSDO and MODEL notched up victories in the league-round matches of the 3rd MNCA Men's U-19 One Day Trophy on Wednesday.
CYCLONE delivered a dominant performance to defeat TCMDC by seven at Lairenjam Public Ground.
Batting first, CYCLONE chased down a target of 156 with ease, reaching 159/3 in just 22.3 overs.
Thomsan Moirangthem was the star of the chase, scoring an unbeaten 67 off 58 balls, including 8 fours and 3 sixes.
He was well-supported by N Sidarth, who contributed 43 off 38 balls, and Reolin Oinam, who finished the match with a quickfire 8 off just 2 deliveries.
For TCMDC, Nongshaba Sapam and Birjeet Laishram claimed a wicket each, but their bowlers struggled to contain CYCLONE's aggressive batting lineup.
Sagolsem Bolyson Singh also chipped in with a wicket, dismissing Robinson Sougajjam for 12.Earlier, TCMDC posted a modest total of 155/8 in their 40 overs, with captain Takhellambam Ngamba Meitei top-scoring with 24 runs.
Thomsan Moirangthem shone for CYLCONE with the ball as well, taking 4 wickets for 33 runs, while Arubam Tyson Singh, Amar Sandham and Rishi Kshtrex chipped in with a wicket apiece.
AKSDO overpowered TRAU by 101 runs at Khudelband Lampak, Taothong.
Opting to bat first, AKSDO posted a competitive total of 200 all out in 39.2 overs, thanks to resilient knocks from Gunachandra Khundrakpam (39* off 49) and Borish Khudrakpam (37 off 52).TRAU's bowlers fought back, with Huiningshumbam Luching (3/34) and Arubam Rainson (3/40) leading the attack, but AKSDO's middle order ensured a challenging target.
In reply, TRAU crumbled under pressure, bowled out for just 99 in 25.1 overs.
Saikhom Kaiku Meetei was the star with the ball, claiming a sensational 6-wicket haul for just 15 runs, ably supported by Sanayai Ningthoujam (4/24).TRAU s batting faltered early, with only Mutum Swabhiman (20) and Huiningshumbam Luching (21) offering brief resistance.
MODEL triumphed over KASC by 34 runs at Moijing Public Ground, Thoubal.
Opting to bat first, MODEL reached 279/6 in their 40 overs, thanks to a sensational century by Irungbam Tonton.
The young opener smashed 173 runs off just 123 deliveries, including 21 fours and 7 sixes.
Captain Bisal Ningombam contributed a steady 40, while KASC's Leishangkhong Maqubul Fida Ali impressed with a three-wicket haul.
In reply, KASC fought valiantly but were bowled out for 245 in 34.3 overs.
Mehetab's explosive 45 off 23 balls and Bm Afsar's 36 were standout performances, but Biyon Naorem's three wickets for MODEL ensured victory.
T Meanwhile, the clash between RCA and YUCC was abandoned due to rain and a wet outfield.
RCA had posted a mammoth 316/10 in 39.4 overs, powered by Md Anush's brilliant 111 (88 balls) and Naesh Hussain's rapid 78 (48 balls).
YUCC's Rahulkumar Ningthoujam starred with the ball, claiming six wickets for 47 runs.
Unfortunately, the weather intervened, denying YUCC a chance to chase.
The officials had no choice but to call off the match.
