Junior State Archery Championships : Twinkle shoots her way to Compound Individual gold

Imphal, September 26 2026: Longjam Twinkle of SAI-RC bagged the girls' Compound Individual gold medal in the ongoing 38th Junior State Archery Championships here at RCC ground, Khuman Lampak Sports Complex.

Twinkle finished on top with a 137-point finish as BAA's Senyai Thongam and Sagolshem Stelina finished second and third with 136 and 135 points respectively.

In the boys' Compound Individual event, K Punanda Sharma of AAA shot 145 points to earn the top honour and was followed by Lanngamba Mutum of AAFC and Huidrom Biken in the second and third spots on the same 143 points.

Sagolshem Stelina of BAA however claimed the 50m x 50m girls' Compound event gold with an aggregate score of 674 points as Th Gracia of NSU shot 673 points for the second place and Senyai Thongam of BAA posted 657 points to settle for the third place.

Yenshembam Rojit Meitei on the other hand bagged the boys' 50m x 50 m Compound event gold for SAI-RC scoring 697 points as compatriot Huidrom Biken managed 694 points for the second place.

K Punanda of AAA was third with 693 points in the same event.

NSU team comprising Laishram Nikhil, Bishal Sapam and Nick Potsangbam were boys' Compound team winners with 230 points as SAI-RC team shot 227 points and SAC team added 218 points to finish second and third.

In the mixed team Compound event, Y Rojit and L Twinkle amassed 151 points to finish on top as NSU's pair of L Nikhil and Th Gracia finished second with 150 points and Waikhom Abivash and S Stelina of BAA finished third with 148 points.
