38th Junior State Archery Championship underway

Imphal, September 25 2026: The 38th edition of the Junior State Archery Championship 2026 organised by the Manipur Archery Association kicked off today at RCC ground, Khuman Lampak.

The opening day of the championship saw BCAC register 3 gold and AAC bag 2 gold medals.

In the women's Indian Round individual competition, AAC's H Roshina beat S Lingjelthoibi of BCAC 6-2 to seal the top honour as M Lanchenba finished third.

Md Amir Arshad of BCAC meanwhile beat LMLCC's Shilheiba Leithanthem 6-4 for the men's individual Indian Round gold as Yumnam Jackson of KMAC finished third.

S Lingjelthoibi of BCAC in the meantime finished on top of the women's 30m x30 m Indian Round competition with the best score of 640 points as M Lanchenbi of NSA and H Roshina of AAC finished second and third on 633 and 630 points.

Md Amir Arshad scored his second gold in the men's 30m x30 m event scoring the highest 677 points leaving Shilheiba of LMLCC (666 pts) and Yumnam Jackson (661 pts) in the wake.

AAC team comprising H Roshina, N Linthoisana, Th Villennia and K Sandhya beat KMAC team featuring T Kelvina, E Lucky, H Sandhyarani and L Hemabati 5-3 to seal the team title as LMLCC team finished third.

In the men's team event, LMLCC team featuring Shilheiba Leitanthem, H Hemjit, Y Bimolchandra and Yumnam Robinson secured a 4(27)-4(26) hardfought win over SICA team comprising Kh Nelson, RK Wangthoisana, N Lamngakpa and Kh Lamjingba to seal the top honours.

UYSC team finished third in this event.
