Seterny hits back-to-back tons as THAU thump PTRC

Imphal, November 24 2022: Seterny Brahmacharimayum scored a consecutive century in THAU's another emphatic victory as the Thangmeiband side drubbed PTRG by 154 runs in Thursday's action of the 1st MNCA Women's U-19 One Day Trophy at PTRC Ground, Patsoi.

Seterny, who smashed 163 in their first match against FORCE, continued her terrific batting form with 109 to help THAU pile up 300/3 after electing to bat first.

Niruta Thoudam, on the other hand, came up with a blistering 97 (not out) off 49 balls as Bunty Khoibam (19 not out) and Shelina Chanu Irengbam (19) made decent contributions in their innings.

After posting a mammoth total, THAU dished out a fine bowling effort to bowl out PTRC for 146 in 35 overs.

Kiranbala Palujam (43), Kosam Sayatombi (21) and Linthoingambi (14) were the batters who got into double digits for the Patsoi side.

Niruta produced her all-round prowess taking three wickets and teammate Nilo-pher Tokpam too finished two three scalps as Bunty Khoibam and Priyanshee Hanglem claimed two wickets each to help THAU to an emphatic win.
