Veteran Football: VSAI fight back to hold MLVFA to 2-2 draw

Imphal, December 16 2024: VSAI conceded a slender early lead but fought their way back to hold MLVFA to a 2-2 draw in the second Group A match of the ongoing 4th Dr Moirangthem Manaoton and M Chandrasakhi Devi Memorial Veteran Football Tournament at Artificial Turf Ground, Lamlong Thongkhong.

Kh Ratan scored in the 9th minute to hand VSAI an early lead but Ng Angouton (29') and Kh Hemo (30+1') scored in the late stages of the first half to overturn the lead in MLVFA's favour.

VSAI however did not lose hope and carried forward their search for the equaliser which materialised when Th Somorendro converted a fine chance in the 47th minute.

Despite late efforts from both ends to take the lead the scoreline remained unchanged forcing them to share the spoils.
