Imphal, September 15 2026: USA, Khurai and SU, Sagolband advanced to the quarterfinals of the 1st Gift Raikhan Memorial Football Tournament 2026-27 by posting contrasting wins today at Artificial Turf Ground, Lamlong Thongkhong.

In the second match of the 15-team tournament, USA edged out Utlou FC by 2-1 goals.

USA dominated earlier proceedings and went into the break with a 2-0 lead riding on goals from S Loyangamba (21') and W Mangal (25') .

Utlou FC halved the deficit in the 57th minute through Edison but their effort to mount their way back into the game was denied by disciplined USA defenders.

Eventually, USA won 2-1 and booked their place in the quarterfinals.

Later in the day, Oinam Ronaldo ran riot to net thrice in SU's 3-0 win over RFCC, Keinou.

Oinam Ronaldo opened the scoring in the 19th minute before netting two more goals in the 24th and the 39 minutes to complete his hattrick.

With the win, SU set up a quarterfinal date with Sainik FC who edged out TFPA 3-1 in their first round encounter.
