Manipur thump Arunachal by 253 runs in Cooch Behar Trophy

Joyhenba came up with a lethal spell of seven wickets to steer Manipur to a massive 253-run win over Arunachal Pradesh in the Cooch Behar Trophy at ADSA Railways Cricket Ground, Ahmedabad on Thursday.
Resuming on a solid first-innings score of 286, Manipur added another 127 runs in their second innings before being bowled out.
Joyhenba's spell of 9 overs, including 3 maidens, conceded just 14 runs while claiming 7 wickets, ripping apart Arunachal's lineup and reducing them to 109 all out in their second innings.
Md Aqeel Ahamed, Kaiku and Punsiba Mangang also contributed with one wicket apiece.
The comprehensive win was set up in the first innings by a robust batting performance from Manipur, who posted a competitive 286.Robinson played a pivotal role, leading with an impressive 94 .
He was well-supported by Heishnam Manikanta, who contributed 41, Max with 37, Alikarim adding 35, and Rain chipping in with 21 .
Their contributions provided Manipur with a strong platform to build on.
In response, Arunachal's batting suffered significantly, folding for a mere 51 runs in their first innings, thanks to effective spells from Danish and Md Aqeel Ahamed, who took five wickets each.
Manipur added 127 to their tally in their second innings, with Thoiba top-scoring with 40 runs, followed by Md Aqeel with 31, and Heishnam, Max, and Rain also chipping in with 15, 11, and 10 runs, respectively.
Vijay Pratap and T Jacob were Arunachal's main wicket-takers, claiming 4 and 3, respectively.
