Noney, August 14 2024: The 78th Independence Day District Level Men's Football Tournament, organised by Assam Rifles at Satudai village, Khoupum, Noney district, concluded on Tuesday.

The closing ceremony was attended by about 1100 locals comprising 16 football teams, 250 cultural performer students from schools of Khoupum and about 800 spectators.

The Satudai football ground was adorned with patriotic tricolour flag decorations, creating an atmosphere of unity and celebration.

One of the highlights of the closing ceremony was the majestic hoisting of the national flag at the historic Satudai Ground, Khoupum.

The flag hoisting ceremony was accompanied by national anthem performed by pipe band of 19 AR.

Various cultural dances, jumba aerobic dance, cultural show performances by the students showcased the vibrant traditions of the region.

The audience was treated with a captivating display of folk dances that celebrated the diversity and unity of the country.

The participating students displayed exemplary coordination and precision, capturing the essence of the Independence Day parade.

The event also featured a soul-stirring performance by the Assam Rifles pipe band, whose melodic tunes resonated through the air, paying homage to the rich cultural tapestry of the nation.

On the closing day of the tournament, cash prizes, trophy, medals and certificates were awarded to winners, runners-up, and school students.

Lunch was also provided at the end of the event.
