Al-Ameen beat YPHUC by 26 runs in 3rd MNCA Women's T-20 Trophy

Imphal, June 13 2025: Al-Ameen, Lilong beat YPHUC, Lalambung by 26 runs in a Group B match of the 3rd Women's T-20 Trophy at THAU ground, Thangmeiband.

Al-Ameen were asked to first and they amassed 148 runs for 6 wickets thanks to a half century knock from Farhana before Farhana and Sanjida led the demolition work of YPHUC batters by sharing 5 wickets between them.

Farhana struck 10 fours on the way to her 61-ball 71 before she holed out to Loktongbam Terina for the 6th wicket in the Al-Ameen innings that also saw Najiya Begum 18 off 12 balls, Sanjida 16 off 13 balls and Laishram Langlenthoibi 12 off 13 balls adding double digit runs.

Waikhom Suchitra of YPHUC bagged 2 wickets for 22 runs in her spell of 4 overs in this innings as Tongbram Nilky (1/30 in 4 overs), Loktongbam Terina (1/30 in 4 overs) and Charoibam Joyshree (1/37 in 4 overs) returned with a wicket apiece.

Tongbram Nilky produced a spirited knock of 48 runs off 39 balls including 9 fours in a lost cause as other batters ended up getting no or single meagre scores.

Although Al-Ameen conceded 59 extras, Farhana (3/18 in 4 overs) and Sanjida (2/31 in 4 overs) stood out sharing 5 wickets between them while Khulem Linthoi (1/23), Najiya Begum (1/35), Laishram Langlenthoibi (1/3) and Konthoujam Shinthoihenbi (1/21 chipped in with a wicket apiece.

Farhana who produced an all-round show was eventually adjudged player of the match.
