MNCA U-14: AMCA, RCA ease to wins; PTCC down YUCC

Imphal, February 13 2025:
AMCA and RCA secured commanding victories in the 4th MNCA Boys U-14 Tournament 2024-25 on Thursday.
AMCA claimed a resounding 167-run victory over CYSA at SEDOC Ground, Kongba Dhobi Lampak.
Opting to bat first, AMCA posted an imposing total of 226 all out in 24 overs.
Hanif led the charge with a stellar 83, supported by Moichingmayum Md Yakin (44), Md Sarif (30), and Mm Altaf (14) .
For SEDOC, Wangmayum Khursijafar stood out with the ball, claiming 4 wickets, while Phundreimayum Soheb took 3.Moirangthem Sanathoi Meitei and Ningthoujam Abungcha chipped in with 2 and 1 wicket, respectively.
In response, CYSA struggled against AMCA's disciplined bowling attack and were dismissed for just 59 in 12.1 overs.
Hanif starred with the ball as well, taking 4 wickets.
Khulakpam Fariyaz Khan and Md Wajid Khan took 2 wickets each, while Sahid Khulakpam and Mayangmayum Masust Alam picked up one apiece, sealing an emphatic victory for AMCA.
In another dominant display, RCA outplayed TCMDC by 142 runs at PTRC Ground, Patsoi.
Batting first, RCA amassed 235/8, thanks to a fine knock from Syed Samiul (73), alongside contributions from Nongjaimayum Masud Alam (38), Khutheibam Mutahid Akhter (23), Heibokmayum Lucky Ahmed (18), Md Iran (4*), and Makakmayum Mansur Alam (1*) .
For TCMDC, Nongshaba Sapam claimed 2 wickets, while Chandrashaker Sharma, Sagolsem Bolyson, and Dipachandra Sagolshem took one wicket each.
Defending a sizable total, RCA's bowling unit restricted TCMDC to 93/8 in 27 overs.
Farhan Ahmed was the pick of the bowlers with 3 wickets, while Md Irfan and Khutheibam Mutahid Akhter chipped in with one each, ensuring a comfortable win for RCA.
At Khudeiband Lampak, PTCC clinched a hard-fought 28-run win over YUCC.
Choosing to bat first, PTCC put up a formidable 249/9 in their allotted overs.
Somo banta top-scored with 76, well-supported by Polenjit Mayengbam (50), Hirachandra Laitonjam (26), Khilchandra Laitonjam (18*), and Harishor Mayangbam (16) .
YUCC's bowling effort was spearheaded by Salam Trivankar and Jaheer, who took 3 wickets each, while Rajbir Khumanthem claimed 2 and Bidyananda Ayekpam picked up 1.In response, YUCC fought valiantly but fell short, managing 221/8 in 30 overs.
Rajbir Khumanthem (70), Mayangmayum Mohd Alfash (64), and Shresth Oinam (21) tried to anchor the chase but could not take their team over the line.
PTCC's bowling unit, led by Hirachandra Laitonjam with 3 wickets, proved effective, Nungchengba Soraisam took 2 wickets, while Harishor Mayangbam and Lanngamba Ningombam contributed with a wicket each, securing the victory.
