Imphal, July 09 2025: Asufii FA and KIYC edged out their opponents in Wednesday's 2nd Premier League action at Artificial Turf Ground, Lamlong Thongkhong.

Asufii FA held off a spirited fightback from YSWA to clinch a dramatic 3-2 victory.

The game got off to a bright start for Asufii FA when Md Nawaz Sharif broke the deadlock in the 20th minute, giving his side the advantage in a dominant first-half display.

After the interval, Asufii FA doubled their lead just four minutes into the second half, with Mathanmi Ninghsen finding the back of the net.

However, YSWA refused to surrender and launched a stirring comeback.

Goldenson Japui reignited their hopes with an 83rd-minute strike, before Chanam Chinglen Meitei stunned Asuhi FA by equalising just two minutes later.

Just as the match seemed destined for a draw, Wangkheirakpam John delivered a moment of late drama, slotting home the winner in second-half stoppage time (90+2) to seal a thrilling victory for his side.

In the other Group D encounter, KIYC secured a narrow 2-1 win over a determined United Chandel FC side.

KIYC took control early on when Md Isra Khan opened the scoring in the 25th minute.

Their lead was extended just after the hour mark, as Yumnam Monis struck to make it 2-0.United Chandel refused to go down without a fight, and Pebam Linthoinganba gave them a lifeline with a 73rd-minute goal, setting up a tense finale.

Despite relentless pressure from their opponents, KIYC's defence stood hrm amid a flurry of attacks, ensuring they walked away with all three points.
