Manipur boys qualify for KIYG Volleyball and Hockey, trial soon

Imphal, April 09 2025: The Directorate of Youth Affairs and Sports (YAS) is all set to conduct State Volleyball and Hockey team trials for boys in view of the 7th Khelo India Youth Games (KIYG) 2025 to be hosted by Bihar from May 4 to 15 .

The volleyball team trial will be conducted from April 11 to 12 at volleyball ground, Khuman Lampak while the hockey team trial will be held from April 12 to 13 at Hockey Stadium, Khuman Lampak, informed the Director of YAS in a notification.

The players who are born on or after January 1, 2007, the notification read.

Interested athletes who fulfill the criteria may report and submit their relevant documents including Aadhaar Card, Matriculation Certificate, Birth Certificate issued at least five years ago by Municipal Corporation or Gram Panchayat and School Bonafide Certificate or State Domicile or Passport, latest by April 11 at the Directorate of YAS, Khuman Lampak.

The intimation for the qualification of the State for the said two disciplines was made by the Chairperson of GTCC, Khelo India Youth Games 2025 in a letter, it said.
