Manipur grab 2 more medals on Day 2

Imphal, August 07 2024:
Manipur won two more medals on the second day of the 40th Sub-Junior and 50th Junior National Aquatic Championships 2024 in Bhubaneswar, Odisha.
Koijam Athoiba Singh collected his second and the state's third gold medal after finishing first in the 100m freestyle group-III .
He clocked 00:59.68 seconds to add another gold medal to his kitty.
Earlier on the opening day of the competition, Athoiba gave Manipur their first gold medal with a time of 02:14.66 minutes in the boys' group-III 200m freestyle event.
Laitonjam Lanchenba, who also made his mark with a gold medal on the first day, added a silver medal to his tally on Day 2 of the competition on Wednesday.
He secured his silver medal in the boy's group-II 50m butterfly event.
Earlier on the opening day of the championship, Lanchenba clinched gold medal in the group-II 100m butterfly event.
Following the Wednesday's results, Manipur have now won four medals, including three gold and one silver.
