MEIRA hammer KHSC 15-2 in State Master Hockey C'ship

Imphal, March 05 2025: MEIRA secured a thumping 15-2 victory over KHSC in the 1st State Thongam Iboyaima Singh Memorial Master Hockey Championship at SEYO Astro Hockey Stadium, Akampat, on Wednesday.

The match began with MEIRA establishing early dominance, racing to a 4-1 lead in the first quarter.

OK Tolen led the charge with a brace, while P Priyokkumar and Th Tompok each added a goal.

KHSC managed to pull one back through N Ranjit.

MEIRA intensified their attack in the second quarter, netting three more goals.

Priyokkumar and Tompok each secured their second of the match, while S Bidyakumar also found the target.

The third quarter saw MEIRA extend their lead further, adding five goals to their tally.

Tolen and Priyokkumar both completed their hat-tricks, while Imocha, N Sunil, and N Jiteshor each contributed a goal.

In the final quarter, MEIRA continued their relentless offensive display, scoring three more times.

Tolen notched his fourth goal of the match, Tompok completed his hat-trick, and Rajeshwor added his name to the scoresheet.

KHSC managed to score a late consolation goal through Prameshore, but it did little to impact the outcome.

Meanwhile, SEYO secured a hard-fought 4-3 victory over Hockey Union in the day's other match.
