NAYA, VETO triumph as 72nd Senior Women's Kabaddi C'ship kicks off

Imphal, January 03 2026: Hosts NAYA, Nongmaikhong and VETO, Laphupat Tera secure opening game victories as the 72nd Manipur State Senior Women’s Kabaddi Championship 2026 kicked off at NAYA ground today under the aegis of the Manipur State Kabaddi Association.

As many as 8 teams clubbed into two groups are taking part in the tournament.

In the opening match, NAYA, Nongmaikhong beat UPS, Kumbi 59-14 points while VETO got the better LYUC, Lourembam by 37-18 points.
