Mutum Bankim and S Bindeshori in Referee Commission for NE Zone Karate C'ship

Imphal, October 01 2026: Manipur's Mutum Bankim Singh and Soibam Bindeshori Chanu have been named in the Referee Commission by the Karate India Organisation (KIO) ahead of the 5th North East Zone Karate Championship 2026 to be hosted by All Meghalaya Karate-Do Association.

Bankim was named as the chairman of the Referee Commission for the meet to be held in Shillong from October 22 to 24 while Bindeshori was named as vice chairman.

The commission also included Hasmat Ali of Assam as the secretary besides 6 other members.

The commission will supervise officiating, deploy referees and judges, ensure compliance with KIO/WKF rules and resolve any technical issues during the championship.
