NSG: State swimmers wrap up campaign with six medals

Manipur concluded their campaign at the 68th National School Games in swimming with an impressive tally of six medals, including four gold, one silver, and one bronze.
The team's outstanding performance was capped on the final day by Koijam Athoiba, who secured a silver medal in the 50m freestyle event with a time of 27.04 seconds.
The gold medal successes were driven by exceptional individual and team efforts.
Laitonjam Lanchenba triumphed in the 50m butterfly event, while David Sapam clinched the top spot in the 100m butterfly event.
The state also excelled in relay events, securing two gold medals.
The 4x100m medley relay team, comprising Leishangthem Bishorjit, Nongmaithem Dhananjoy Meetei, David Sapam, and Koijam Athoiba, delivered a stellar performance to claim gold.
Similarly, the 4x100m freestyle relay team of Leishangthem Bishorjit, Laitonjam Lanchenba, David Sapam, and Koijam Athoiba showcased remarkable coordination to secure another gold medal for the state.
David Sapam added to his individual accolades by winning a bronze in the 50m butterfly event.
