Manipur to host 38th National Yogasana C'ship 2026

Imphal, September 29 2026: The Manipur Yoga Society is all set to host the 38th National Yogasana Championship 2026 cum selection trial for the 12th World Yogasana Championship from October 2 to 4 under the aegis of the All India Yoga Culture Federation, Nagpur.

Ahead of the National meet to be held at Khuman Lampak Indoor Stadium, the Manipur Yoga Society has announced a strong 126-member delegation including Dr Labuktongbam Sibananda Sharma as team manager and coaches RK Koireng Singh and Ksh Mamtaz.

The event will see yoga athletes from across the country compete for top honours in Yoga Sports (Traditional) across 9 age groups; four events in Rhythmic categories; and two events in Artistic Categories.

As many as 106 State athletes entered for Yoga Sports while 40 entered for Rhythmic events and 10 for Artistic events.
