Manipur Hockey delegation departs for 15th Hockey India National Congress

Imphal, July 26 2025: A three member delegation from Manipur Hockey departed Imphal on Saturday to attend the 15th Hockey India National Congress, scheduled to take place on July 27, 2025 in Mahabalipuram, Tamil Nadu.

The delegation comprises Khoirom Loyalakpa, president of Manipur Hockey; Laimayum Bashanta Sharma, general secretary; and Phurailatpam Nirmalata Devi, athlete representative.

According to a press release issued by Moirangthem Premeshwor, CEO of Manipur Hockey, the state body's participation highlights its dedication to contributing to national-level discussions on the development, governance, and promotion of hockey in India.

The Congress is expected to gather key stakeholders from across the country to deliberate on strategic plans, policy frameworks, and future pathways for the sport.
