Imphal, January 25 2026: Naorem Debajit and Yumlembam Lenin won Manipur a gold medal apiece at the 69th National School Games U-17 Judo Championships being underway in Imphal.

Naorem Debajit won the boys' -50 kg category gold medal today by defeating Jatin of Punjab as Yumlembam Lenin defeated Telangana's Tharun Ramavath for the -55 kg category gold.

Their medals came after Takhellambam Aleena bagged a bronze medal in the girls' +70 kg category competition yesterday.

The day also witnessed Haryana's Arvind meanwhile claimed the -81 kg category title by getting better of Md Rihan Ali of Delhi as Tushar Babu of Maharashtra bagged the -90 kg category gold beating Akshat Dahiya of Delhi.

UP's Nikita, meanwhile, clinched the girls' -44 kg category gold by defeating Dikshita Sharma of CBSE in the final as Ankita Thakur of Varsha Chhwari of Delhi for the -48 kg category gold; Kanishka Bidhuri of Delhi beat Narmrata Suresh Chougule of Maharashtra for the -52 kg title and Sonakshi Pandit of Rajasthan beat Meharpreet Kaur of CBSE for the -70 kg gold.

The championship will conclude tomorrow.
