MNCA names squad for Men's U-16 Vijay Merchant Trophy

Imphal, November 24 2024: Manipur Cricket Association (MNCA) on Sunday named a 15-member squad for the Men's U-16 Vijay Merchant Trophy 2024-25.The tournament will commence on December 6, 2024 at Gwalior.

As per an MNCA notice, Yumnam Achouba Singh will lead the state team as captain, with Mutum Swabhiman Singh assisting him as vice-captain.

The other team members are Ishorchandra Loitongbam, Laitonjam Jackson Singh, Lucky Thokchom, Maverick Wakambam, Md Zuned Hussain, Mohammed Anush, Moirangthem Romesh Singh, Naoshekpam Ngambarel Meitei, Sagatpam Lanchenba Khuman, Sorokhaibam Thoungamba Singh, Tongbram Devas Singh, Vishonath Laishram and Yumkhaibam Rahis Khan.

MNCA has also listed five reserve players - Sanjenbam Indrakumar Singh, Nawaz Sharif, Thoubal Mayum Aarish, Thoudam Rojit Meitei and Dilshan Oinam.

The notice further informed the 20 players and their parents to report to the MNCA office on November 25, 2024 at 10 am for BCCI player registration.

Players are required to bring their original documents - computerised birth certificate, updated PVC Aadhaar card, Class X certificate (for those not yet passed Class X, current bonafide/reading school certificate & school marks sheets from the last academic 3 years mentioning DOB, or bonafide/reading school certificates from the last 3 academic years mentioning DOB for others), 2 recent passport-size photographs, PAN card, bank details (passbook/cheque), and black-ink ball pen.
