Jadonang Football enters pre-quarter final stage

Imphal, November 24 2013: GUFA Gaipuinam beat CYC Chuangphun by 2-1, KYC Kalalong blanked out MKNYC Namching by 4-0 goal, CFC Chingkhulong blanked out KYC Keikhu by 3-0 while TYC Tharon registered win by defeating MYA Majorkhul by 3-1 in the league round matches of the IXth Jadonang Memorial Football Tournament, 2013 played at THAU Ground, Thangmeiband today.

With this, the stage for the pre-quarter final matches has also been set from tomorrow.

In the first match of the day played in the morning today, GUFA defeated CYC by 2-1 goal.

Though CYC was leading the score line till the end of the first half of the match with one goal which came from its player D Rolly (jersey no.13) in the 10th minute of the play, players of CYC could no longer hold on to the aggressive play of GUFA players in the second half.

Kangabung Pamei (jersey no.10) and Gaithanlung Gonmei (jersey no.9) of GUFA scored one goal each in the 46th and 50th minute of the match to seal the fate of the match conducted with K Ibotombi as Centre referee.

Daniel Kamson (jersey no.16) and Danis Malangmei (jersey no.18) of GUFA and Dingam (jersey no.6) of CYC were cautioned by the match referee for their unsporting conduct during the match.

In the second match of the morning, KYC Kalalong humbled MKNYC Namching by 4-0 goals.

Out of the four goals of the winning team, K Bona (jersey no.11) contributed two in the 34th and 50th minute while P Lungaikhong (jersey no.13) contributed the other two goals in the 43rd and 46th minute of the match.

Keeper Malingmei Gailingam (jersey no.1) of MKNYC and Th Thuangkupou (jersey no.5) of KYC were cautioned for their unsporting behaviour during the match.

In the evening matches, KYC Keikhu was blanked out by CFC Chingkhulong by 3-0 goals in the first round.

The three winning goals of CFC Chingkhulong were fetched by Hopeson (jersey no.9), Semieon (jersey no.11) and Lungdaini (jersey no.15) in the 7th, 45th and 55th minute of the match.

In the fourth and last minute of the match today, TYC Tharon sent home MYA Majorkhul by 3-1 goals.

The three goals of the winning team came from its player W Athinbou (jersey no.12), Padigomba (jersey no.14) and Kadijinbou (jersey no.13) in the 13th, 31st and 62nd minute of the match while lone goal of MYA was scored by Gaisingam (jersey no.9) in the 11th minute of the full-time match.

Langangchung (jersey no.16) of MYA and Kairingam (jersey no.1) of TYC were booked for unsporting conduct during the match.

In the pre-quarter final matches that are to begin from tomorrow, TYC Tharon would face KYC Kalalong in the first ground of the morning match to kick start from 7.30 am.

In the evening, NYC Namdunlong and CRYC Chingmeirong will meet in the first ground at 12 noon while CFC Chingkhulong would wrestle with DYC Dimdaijang in the second ground at 2.30 pm.
