National sub-junior boys' Aquathlon gold medallist N Dhananjoy feted

Imphal, October 21 2025: The teaching staff of Modem College Swimming Pool today accorded a warm felicitation to Nongmaithem Dhanajoy who recently brought home a gold medal from the Sub-Junior and Junior National Aquathlon Championship.

Nongmaithem Dhananjoy won the gold medal in the sub-junior boys' competition by producing best finish in 15 minutes and 53.08 seconds at the championship that was held from October 10 to 12 at Prakash Taran Pushkar, Tulsi Nagar Bhopal, MP under the aegis of the Indian Triathlon Federation.

Dhananjoy, son of N ongbi Meena Leima of Kwakeithel Heinou Khongnembi, has been undertaking training at Modem College Swimming Pool, Porompat for almost a year.

He also made it to the 50 m breaststroke final round in the recent Junior National Aquatic Championships.

The young athlete was encouraged with simple presents over his achievement and extended best wishes for his future competitions at the felicitation programme, said a statement issued by T Thouba, Chief Instructor, Modem College Swimming Pool.
